    Job’s body  by Deane Juhan
  • Education

Michelle Graduated the Wellington College of Remedial Massage Therapy in 1995, Owned and operated Clinic for 12 years
Her Artistic education  is fused from both advertising art and fine arts.
  • Experiences

Michelle managed stores in gift wear , fine  furniture and theater apparel in her twenties while she lived in Manitoba.
Proudly Michelle taught anatomy and physiology in the CIP (career internship program) to local high schools while she ran a five treatment room massage therapy clinic in Manitoba as a Massage Therapist. She was the first recipient of the meritorious award from the Manitoba Massage Therapy Association ( MTAM ) for her contribution to the field. She contributed to the Parkinson’s foundation of Manitoba via a lecture and written protocol relating to the special needs this condition requires when massage therapy is administered.
When she moved to BC she learned about perm-a-culture and herbology while working on a perm-a-culture farm.
Over the past eight years Michelle has worked with the tourism industry as a “body worker” * primarily in the ski industry
She also has developed a lecture series for woman’s wellness. These educational workshops have been shared with woman’s wellness events in the Vernon , Lumby and Cherryville region.
*Although Michelle was trained as a Remedial Massage Therapist in Manitoba. British Columbia has their own standards.
This privately educated industry has yet to amalgamate and legislate its profession across Canada.
Thus the term “body worker”.
This is BC’s legal term used for those who do not have remedial massage therapy registration in the province of BC.
